Welcome to Summit Elementary School!
As an experienced administrator, former teacher, and academic coach, Mrs. Chapman bring extensive knowledge and expertise to her new role within the McComb School District. A native of Magnolia, MS< Mrs. Chapman is a 2002 graduate of Amite County High School. She is a proud alumnus of Alcorn State University where she earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education. Furthering her education, she obtained a Master's Degree and an Educational Specialist in Educational Leadership from Belhaven University.
Renowned for her dedication to student achievement, Mrs. Chapman's professional journey reflects her commitment to educational excellence, inspired by her favorite scripture, Philippians 4:13: "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." Her contributions have positively impacted numerous students and staff members throughout her career.
In addition to her professional achievements, Mrs. Chapman believes in the power of family. She is married to Hosea Chapman Sr., and they are the proud parents of three children: TaNiyah, Hosea Jr., and Mya. With a heritage rooted in education, she recognizes the profound impact of fostering a strong connection between home and school.
In her new role as Principal of Summit Elementary, Mrs. Chapman is committed to fostering a safe, caring, and engaging learning environment for all students, while upholding the highest standards of academic excellence. She holds a strong belief in the potential of every student to learn and succeed when provided with the right resources and support. She values collaboration and will actively engage with teachers, parents, community members, and other stakeholders to build strong partnerships that support student growth and achievement.
